After spending over a decade working with Fortune 500 companies like AT&T, E&Y and Cisco in the US, he returned to India in 2005 to start Apalya along with his friend and Co-Founder Shiveshankar Byapunedi. They both saw an opportunity in the video space in mobile and started mobile video streaming service on the 2G networks. This led to Apalya becoming the leader in video delivery especially on mobiles on 2G/3G/CDMA & EVDO network across all Telcos in India. In 2010, Vamshi along with the other Co-Founder was awarded the Technovator of the year by Voice and Data, Best Digital start-up by IAMAI and the Hottest Start-Up by Business Today in 2010.

Vamshi as the CEO leads all strategic & business initiatives for the organization. He has done his Engineering from Amravati University and hails from Andhra Pradesh, India.

Before starting Apalya along with Vamshi in 2005, Shiva had worked with Nokia in Finland and his last assignment was with Wipro Technologies as the Senior Project Manager. He has spent a good amount of time working on several Mobile OS especially on the Symbian platform during his assignment with Nokia & Wipro. He along with Vamshi has taken Apalya to its current leadership position in the Mobile Video delivery platform in India.

As the CTO he leads all innovation and product development initiatives apart from wearing the Human Resource lead for Apalya. Shiva has also done his engineering from Amravati University and hails from Andhra Pradesh, India.

With over 15 years of work experience in the US, having exposure with versatile technologies in IT milieu, Venu has spearheaded several SAP Implementation projects with a keen emphasis on IT Infrastructure and Operations in the realm of ERP practice. Venu’s business centric planning skills combined with strategic and utilitarian approach empowered him in successful completion of projects on time and on budget. Venu worked at OfficeMax, HP, Reliant Energy and several public utilities companies in Texas area as IT Manager, Tech Lead and Senior Consultant roles. His industry experience spans the gamut of Telecom, R&D, IT, Retail, Banking and Public Utilities.

Venu heads IT and Operations at Apalya, adapting technology perpetually with ongoing business demands and overhauling service delivery platform to explore and instantiate cost-effective solutions. Venu has also done his engineering from Amravati University and hails from Andhra Pradesh, India.

Indranil Aikat is a Telecom & Media professional with near to 14 years of experience in Business Strategy, VAS Product Management, New Media and Sales. He has worked with several leading telecom organizations, like BPL Cellular, Hutchison Essar Ltd., Bharti Airtel Ltd. and a start-up Boungiorno. His last assignment was with ESPN STAR SPORTS as the Digital Media Head for South Asia. He joined Apalya in 2010 to look after the expansion of Apalya internationally and launched operation in Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Africa. Additionally, he handles the Business development, Content Alliances and Operations.

Indranil is a science graduate and has done his MBA from Symbiosis International University; Pune specialized in Telecom Business & Marketing.
